How can a Critical Friend help

The role of the Critical Friend made a significant contribution to the development of pedagogy and resources and in some Clusters in parent engagement. The Critical Friend is a provocateur, a mediator, or an interventionist. They are an integral part of your learning community.

Their role includes supporting and guiding Cluster to:

  • identify and refine their focus and tokeep their 'eye on the ball'
  • to understand ad develop a hard-edged evidence base
  • to think about what it is they have in place that is whole schook, evidence based and sustainable.
