Professional knowledge, practice, and engagement tools

Make It Count has developed these tools to provide a common vocabulary for educators at all levels to talk about their work and to critique and develop responsive mathematics pedagogy.

Use these tools to think about: your knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and your knowledge of mathematics; your professional practice and how responsive it is to students' learning; and your professional engagement with colleagues, parents, families and communities.

The tools are designed to be used in parallel with the Cluster Findings and can be used by educators as a guide for self-reflection or school based evaluation. Use them for yourself, with a colleague, or in your professional learning community.

They ask questions such as: How well do I know Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander learners and how well do I know how they learn?
