Peter Sullivan

Peter Sullivan is Professor of Science, Mathematics and Technology Education at Monash University. He is the author of the shape paper for the new national mathematics curriculum, editor of the Journal of Mathematics Teacher Education, has just completed four years as member of the Australian Research Council College of Experts, is a member of the selection advisory committee for the Future Fellowships program, and is the president elect of the Australian Association of Mathematics Teachers.

Peter has worked on three ARC funded research projects on ways of teaching Indigenous students, both in mainstream classes and in remote communities. His particular interests are in classroom tasks and pedagogies that support diverse learners, and which build on the students' interests and knowledge.
