The role of the principal was critical to this Cluster Finding. “You need to have a principal – and a coordinator – who is flexible, who can develop relationships with people, and if they fall down, have the skills to rebuild. It’s working together to get the job done, to provide opportunities for Aboriginal kids to improve in their numeracy.” (Tracey Armstrong, Cluster co-ordinator)
Teachers of Aboriginal students worked very closely to improve their mathematical understandings, to do the best that they can to cater for the mathemaitcal needs of Aboriginal learners.
